Construction project update

PARKING

After this Sunday, April 10, the circle driveway in front of the church, as well as the front door, will be closed off as we prepare for the first stages of the building project.

Hard hatParking spaces along the driveway to the back of the church will be reserved for special needs and handicapped parking. We plan to have people there to assist with the new parking for a few weeks until our congregation gets used to the change. People using the special needs parking spaces may enter the building through the weekday school door or through the Garth entrance, both of which provide accessibility to the entire church building.

If you are able, please consider parking on Antrim Street or Windsor Way or across Cary Street Road in Windsor Farms. On Easter Sunday, we have requested to have a police officer on Cary Street Road to help members cross between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

8:30 WORSHIP SERVICE

The 8:30 worship service will move to the sanctuary on Palm Sunday, April 17, and will remain there until the new chapel is completed.

BOXWOODS AND TREES

The boxwoods from the front circle have been relocated. In addition, several trees will be removed during the week of April 11 to clear the way for construction. Fencing will be erected to ensure safety.

Watch for more information as it becomes available.

Collecting goodies for

college student care packages

When you are away in school excitement and joy come with the arrival of a package. Won't you help to spread the joy by providing items for care packages to be sent to Care packagescollege students this spring? With the help of our congregation, the college ministry team would like to put together care packages for every Reveille college student as a reminder of the care and support of our church. Stop by the bulletin board across from the choir room or check out the display board in the fellowship hall for more information and to see what you can contribute.

Please bring contributions to church by Sunday, April 17 and place them in the college care packages container in the fellowship hall or in the alcove across from the choir room.  If you would like to help assemble care packages or if you have questions, please contact Amy Donald at 741-5355.

Reveille Vacation Bible School and Day Camp

July 25-29

VBS 2011 logoVacation Bible School is for children who are age three by September 1 through rising second graders. It will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Day Camp is for rising third, fourth, and fifth graders and will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. except on Friday, when Day Camp will end at noon.

Vacation Bible School children will explore the Bible as an exciting cookbook filled with recipes for living out God's Word. By celebrating biblical festivals, they will:

Be ready for God             Give happily to God             Believe fully in Jesus

Remember Jesus often             Celebrate God forever

Day Campers will discover God's recipe for living as they serve as disciples in the world.  Grounded in the stories of the faith, each day they will be involved in outreach ministries.  They will see God's people at work in the world sharing God's love.  During the week John Wesley's motto for life will take on meaning as campers seek to do all the good they can: "Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can."

The fee for Vacation Bible School is $25 per child, and the fee for Day Camp is $40 per camper. Registration is online here.

If you have questions or would like to help with Vacation Bible School, e-mail Lisa Fisher or call her at 741-0778.
