Reveille Days Continue
Sunday, September 19: Knowing God through Teaching and Learning
Through our teaching and learning ministries, we pass the story of God's redeeming love from one generation to the next. In our worship services this Sunday, we will celebrate our Sunday school participants and teachers along with others who provide leadership for teaching and learning ministries. Third graders will receive their Bibles at the 11:00 a.m. worship service. We'll hear from our youth about the ways they have grown in faith through confirmation classes. We will also celebrate our new small group ministry for adults.
Next Sunday, September 26: Serving God through Outreach

Tell us about your ways of Loving, Knowing, and Serving God
The theme for Reveille Days 2010 is "Loving, Knowing, and Serving God." Within our congregation, we do this in so many ways - through music, mentoring, teaching, Bible study, acolyting, preparing meals and providing medical care, only to name a few. Please take a moment to reflect on how you love, know, and serve God. Then take a moment to write down your response - a short phrase or a few sentences will do fine. Or maybe there is a photo or symbolic memento you would like to share. Your response will be incorporated into the decorations for the Reveille Day celebration. Our lunch tables on October 3 will display the many ways our lives of faith reflect loving, knowing, and serving God. For example, you may describe a mission trip or outreach project, a small group or class that has changed your life and deepened your faith, or an activity in which you participate that draws you closer to God. Whether they are very simple or very creative, all responses are welcome. You may leave your response with Abby Kocher at the church office, or e-mail it to creaseys@verizon.net. All personal items (photos, mementos, etc.) will be returned after the luncheon. Please respond by Sunday, September 26. If you have questions, please contact Susan Creasey at creaseys@verizon.net.
