We just added a video of the Truro beach house we built to YouTube. You might recognize the home, as we recently announced it garnered three PRISM Awards from the Builders Association of Greater Boston last month.

Designed by Zero Energy, this residence is ENERGY STAR qualified. Its many energy efficient features include separate living spaces that can be blocked off to save energy, solar panels (installed by Nexamp), a geothermal well, radiant heating, highly sustainable bamboo flooring, formaldehyde-free insulation and efficient lighting fixtures.

Top 10 Green Building Products

Last week, the U.S. Green Building Council's annual GreenBuild Expo was held in Phoenix. Every year the publishers of Environmental Building News and the GreenSpec Directory announce the winners of the top 10 green building products.

This year's list features innovative mineral wool insulation, bio-based office furniture and a mobile solar power generator, which can be attached to a trailer and used during low-sun periods.
