Are you on the Map?
How do resources get on the Green Map? We gather information in many ways. From research and word of mouth. From YOU and others who suggest sites. From comments people add to the sites already mapped. This month's header pictures show the online map, comments being gathered from fifth graders' observations, and a first grade class's Green Map. _________________________ |

Welcome to our new intern!
Thanks to the generosity of the JHU Center for Social Concern, Gaida Mahgoub is our work-study intern. A Public Health major, Gaida will assist in keeping our interactive maps current and rich in content.
Thanks to Fusion Partnerships, our fiscal sponsor for the past three years. Under Fusion we were able to produce two paper maps, a website, and several education outreach projects.
Bragging Rights
BGM's work was used to represent Green Map System in its successful submission to win the first annual Victor Papenek Social Design Award.

| We are fundraising for TWO PROJECTS.

ONE: Druid Hill Park Passport project received a Partnerships for Parks Grant from the City and will soon mount a KickStarter Campaign to complete its funding. Our concept is to create activities in many parts of the park to encourage exploration of the varied assets documented on the Druid Hill Park Green Map. Explore, document, then get your passport stamped at the Conservatory. How well do you know this wonderful park?
WATCH for notice of our KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TWO: A revision and reprint of the very popular Jones Falls Trail Green Map. More trails, more history and culture, a Cylburn Arboretum inset. We are halfway to our goal with donations and pledges from
Mountain Club of Maryland - printing costs 10,000 maps
Tour D'em Parks
Cape Foundation of Maryland
Friends of Maryland's Olmsted Parks & Landscapes
Baltimore Bicycle Works cooperative
Please consider making a contribution to Baltimore Green Map, Inc.

At the Appalachian Center for Ethnobotanical Studies/Center For a Livable Future Symposium, her talk's focus was on using GMS icons to map place-based systems. She presented the many ways Baltimore Green Map has deployed the Green Map® icon System at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond's October 13 Conference, "Releasing the Power of Local Data" and will do so again at Fed's National Conference "Strategic Data Use to Stabilize Neighborhoods."
