In my earlier email about the budget, my editing of one of the paragraphs may not be clear as to Commissioner Lucier's comments regarding expanding the role of government and this budget proposal.
Mr. Lucier's comments regarding the expansion of government were related to the hiring of a sustainable communities director. A position that has not yet been filled but for which they are currently interviewing candidates. If you are interested in applying, the salary range is estimated to be between $67,000 and $100,00 plus benefits. This budget proposal demonstrates how important expanding governmental departments is to them and that directly expands the role of government. I apologize for any confusion I may have caused.
