A Letter from the President |
|
Dear Alumni,
Greetings from JCU, our small, great University! Our university is expanding rapidly on every front. The acquisition of the Tiber Campus coupled with the continued strengthening of our excellent academic program and of our dedication to our students' welfare and success, is rapidly generating interest and enthusiasm for John Cabot University. Last Fall we had record numbers of Degree Seeking students and this Spring we expect to break all previous records of enrolled students at the University. As you can imagine we are all very excited at the future of our beloved institution. Last October we had our first major Alumni Reunion at the University. It was an extraordinary event with old and new alumni coming together from the four corners of the world to celebrate and remember our University and its history. At the Alumni Reunion I launched the idea of setting up a "John Cabot University Alumni Matching Scholarship," whereby each year, whatever is donated by JCU Alumni will be matched by the University in equal amount. This Scholarship will fund needy and deserving students, giving them the chance to study at our University. I am launching this initiative with a personal donation of € 500, I hope that this will break the ice. I believe this challenge will give all of us the chance to be generous and show the world how much we care about JCU. With Warmest Regards,
Franco Pavoncello The President of JCU |

JCU Students Run for Food |
|
Read more about the student's participation to the event in the article "JCU Students Run for Food" written by Rose Jeremie. contributing writer, on The Matthew, Vol. 3, no. 4.
Abstract:
"The right time to eat is: for a rich man when he's hungry, for a poor man when he has something to eat." For the most part, when you are hungry, you eat. Hunger is the physical sensation of a desire to eat, and if subjected to it continuously, hunger can lead to malnutrition, starvation and eventually death. [...] "Initially, I didn't think about how may people suffer from hunger in the world," said 18-year-old . . . | |
