Back to the '80s Scavenger Hunt and Pub Crawl Fundraiser


          
The 3rd Annual Back to the '80s Scavenger Hunt and Pub Crawl Fundraiser is only 3 weeks away!  Do you have your team ready?  Have you completed your costume?  You don't want to miss this year's event.  There will be a costume contest, face and glitter painting, hula hooping, a caricature artist, and much more!  Rubix Cubed, the southeast's biggest band, will be found along the Scavenger Hunt route and will also be playing live at the Dunedin Brewery starting at 9:00 pm.

Make plans to be at Pioneer Park in Downtown Dunedin on Saturday, July 21, 2012, for the #9 Fundraiser Event in the Tampa Bay Business Journal Best in the Biz Readers' Choice Awards.  The fundraiser is sponsored by Chic a Boom Room, Dunedin Brewery, Dunedin Smokehouse, Flanagan's Irish Pub and Rosie's Tavern.

Entertainment begins at 5:00 pm and the Scavenger Hunt begins at 7:30 pm.  The cost to participate in the Scavenger Hunt is $50 for a team of 2-3 members, $60 for a team of 4 members, and $75 for a team of 5 members.  If you don't want to participate in the Scavenger Hunt, Pub Crawl Only tickets can be purchased for $15 per person.  This includes one free drink at each of the five sponsors.  The Pub Crawl is included in the Scavenger Hunt fee.  Drink tickets will be honored all night until closing.

Proceeds benefit Family Network on Disabilities.


Registration will also be available on-site beginning at 6:30 pm.


 

 

                              

 

The 6th Annual  

 

The 6th Annual Heart and Hope Statewide Family Conference will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at Dunedin Highland Middle School in Pinellas County.

 

This is a free full day event designed to help bring individuals who are at risk, families who have children with disabilities, and the professionals who serve them awareness in regard to their options and rights that are available to them within the school system and beyond.

 

Free breakfast, lunch and childcare will be provided. One-on-one assistance will be available at our IEP clinic and workshop topics will include Restraint and Seclusion, Transition from IFSP to IEP, Understanding the Health Care System, IDEA and much more!

 

The Keynote Speaker will be Monica Verra-Tirado, Ed.D., new Bureau Chief for Florida's ESE Division.

Elida Ramirez-Olvera

Parents Educating Parents (PEP)

 

 

  

 

 

 

     Elida Ramirez-Olvera is the Director for the Parents Educating Parents Program (PEP). She has worked for Family Network on Disabilities for over 5 years. She is fluent in Spanish and knows some Sign Language. The PEP Program provides services to families in 4 of Florida's rural counties (Lee, Collier, Hendry, and Glades). Through the PEP Program, Ellie provides families in remote areas with the information they need to help their children experience the best outcomes they can.
