Direct Color Systems^® is pleased to introduce our small-format, roll-to-roll printer for signs, banners, decals, heat transfers and other flexible media. The Flex33 is calibrated for use with DCS's UV-stable and pigment-solvent MultiSolve™ inks and uses state of the art micro-piezo head technology.

This DCS printer accepts rolls of media up to 13" (330mm) in width and allows for a maximum continuous printable size of 12.5" x 10' (317mm x 3048mm). It prints directly onto standard uncoated media. Use it to create your vinyl signage, vehicle graphics, electronics skins, bottle labels and much more.

Our RIP and Cut software allows the user to print then contour cut using a plotter. The Flex33 features an 8-channel (C, M, Y, K, LM, LC, LK, O) print head, an adjustable media heater and a quick change capping station.

Demonstrations of the Flex33 will be held at FESPA Fabric 2011 in Hamburg, Germany on May 24-26. Direct Color Systems will be exhibiting at Booth B1-126.

DCS's Flex33 can be used to create vibrant colorful images, logos and graphics that can be easily put on a t-shirt.

• Print the image to t-shirt transfer material. The Flex33 works with DCS's t-shirt transfer material as well as with many commercially available transfer media.
• Allow the image to dry (dries in as little as 2 minutes).
• Cut out the image. DCS recommends using the Graphtec Craft Robo Pro with our Flex Cut 8 software for precision cutting of the image, but a shear or scissors can also be used.
• Press the image onto the shirt (use the directions included with the transfer material for temperature settings).

Direct Jet printer packages are now available for automatic download or update from the Auto Updating FTP site. Packages are available for the Direct Jet 1309 (Rev 4.127), Direct Jet 1314 (Rev 4.127) and Direct Jet 1324 (Rev 4.132) and contain all of the IR4 and InkMark™ print modes. Direct Color Systems^® has released a new cleaning cartridge for the IR4 ink series. This new cleaning cartridge is available as a pre-filled cartridge to minimize, if not eliminate the risk of spilling unwanted solvents into the bottom of the print head carriage mechanism. In testing to date, this new product has proven to be 100% effective in dissolving IR4 clogs in Direct Jet model print heads.
