Usability Lessons: A new blog

I've been doing usability studies for a long time and have learned a lot about how people use hardware and software. I'm starting the Usability Lessons blog to share some of that with you.

The first entries show the range of topics:

• People blame themselves and feel stupid when they make mistakes. I've collected lots of good quotes from study participants ("Maybe it's just me... I feel like a moron now.").
  
• Search engines that don't handle punctuation marks give false results and confuse users.
• Do you need an explicit Home link in your nav bar, or does everyone know to click the logo to return to the home page?
