Karen Somerville, PhD, Assistant Karen SomervilleProfessor in Hamline University's School of Business, and her co-author, Catherine Elliott, PhD, Research Associate with the University of Ottawa, have had a paper accepted for publication by The Innovation Journal: The Public Sector Innovation Journal. This case study is entitled "Strategies to improve client service: Exemplars in the Canadian Federal Government". It highlights the relationship between service excellence and a positive organizational culture.

Career Services Seminar Rescheduled to Feb 28.
 

The Career Services Seminar on "Successful Interviewing" that was scheduled for February 21 was rescheduled for Monday, February 28.  You can still register on the scheduling site through HSB career services

New MPA Club

 

MPA students have formed a new organization. The MPA Pub Administration Club provides students with an opportunity to socialize, hold discussions, and network with one another and professionals in the public sector. The Club is open to everyone: students, alumni, professors, and public administration professionals. 
 
Starting in March the group will meet at two locations: the 1st & 3rd Fridays of the month at O'Garas in St. Paul and the 2nd & 4th Fridays at Coopers in St. Louis Park. 

The group will meet at either location starting around 5p, although feel free to arrive when you can. Watch throughout the semester for speakers, and alternative student activities. We hope to see everyone there!
