Announcing a New Minor in Nonprofit Management
The Hamline School of Business and the Department of Public Administration are pleased to announce the formation of a minor in Nonprofit Management.

"One of ten employees today work for a nonprofit organization and that statistic is increasing. This nonprofit minor will provide our students with skills-based learned about serving in the nonprofit sector and philanthropy. These skills will be immediately transferable to solid entry level internships and eventually into careers in nonprofit management, fundraising, volunteer engagement, and social entrepreneurship. These careers offer promising job placement and advancement. The opportunities for service and volunteerism in the nonprofit sector continue to grow in our communities across the United States as well as globally." - Cathy Gustafson, director Master in Nonprofit Management program "The Minor in Nonprofit Management promises to be a great complement to many of the Majors at Hamline. We have tremendous support and encouragement from a wide variety of disciplines. Students will learn practical knowledge and develop skills that will be directly beneficial in pursuing meaningful careers. Through class discussions, guest speakers, extra-curricular activities, and internships, students who earn the Minor in Nonprofit Management will have knowledge and networking opportunities that will expand career options. We feel this Minor is a perfect way for out students to truly create lives that are dedicated to leadership, scholarship, and service to our communities." - Rob Routhieaux, HSB Professor and Interim Associate Dean
The minor builds on a growing interest across undergraduate students and will utilize the expertise of our faculty in the School of Business while giving students another useful skillset. Look for Minor in Nonprofit Management materials and website coming soon. |
