Center for Public Administration & Leadership (CPAL) Launched

HSB students from all programs and all levels joined alumni, faculty, friends, and the greater community on February 8 at the Metropolitan Ballroom to toast the kickoff of the Center for Public Administration & Leadership (CPAL)in the School of Business at Hamline University.  The event served as a great networking forum that was highlighted by an address by President Hanson and a keynote from Peter Bell.  Click on the image below of CPAL Director Bill Joynes to get a small glimpse of the excitement around the new Center.

Graduate Student Conference Fund

The Graduate Student Conference Fund was created to support Hamline students as they pursue academic, professional, and artistic endeavors outside of the classroom. The Conference Fund is designed to provide one-time funding to assist individual graduate students in attending appropriate academic and professional conferences, workshops, seminars, or meetings. Grants will be awarded up to $150 and are meant to reduce the student's expenses, not to provide full financial support for the activity. Grant monies may be used to reimburse registration fees, travel, lodging and food expenses. For more information about the Conference Fund, eligibility, and how to apply visit: www.hamline.edu/gradlife

Commencement Website Live

It seems just like yesterday that the undergraduate class of 2010 walked across Old Main mall just before the rain came to shake hands with President Hanson and receive their diploma.  Graduate students had a dryer experience that afternoon in cozy warm Hutton arena.  The 2011 commencement website is live.  Check the website if you plan to take part in activities on May 21.  Graduate students, make sure your intent to graduate form is submitted so you don't miss out on important announcements.

Suicide Awareness Panel

The Hamline School of Law will host a suicide awareness panel from 11 a.m. to noon on March 22 at the Law School.  Terri Popp from the National Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention and Dan Reidenberg from SAVE will sit on the panel.
