HSB Executive in Resident Jim ScheibelJim wrote a very nice piece on his friend and mentor Sargent Shriver.  The article in MinnPost shares Jim's experiences with Shriver who was the founder of VISTA and Special Olympics as well as the first Director of Peace Corps not to mention a U.S. Ambassador and politician. 
An Opportunity for Student to Work on Redistricting
 
 
The Minneapolis Charter Commission is assigned the task of drawing the district lines for the City of Minneapolis. They are looking for a student beginning in April or May to attend their meetings and provide a study documenting and evaluating the redistricting process. The process could take up to one year and the Charter Commission would be willing to use several students to perform this task. The evaluation could serve as the basis of an independent study, paper, article, or other work product. Students interested in this project should e-mail Professor David Schultz.
