Are Attendance Gains Sustained? A Followup

on the Educational and Child Welfare

Outcomes of Students with Child Welfare

Involvement for Educational Neglect, was written with co-authors Timothy Zuel and Mira Swanson. 

The study shows the students exhibited a marked improvement in their school attendance in the year following their involvement with child welfare.   Congratulations to Anita!

Are you nervous about the big paper?  Back to school of the first time in years and unsure about academic writing? Graduate Writing Workshops tailored specifically for graduate students are scheduled for the upcoming weeks.  The first session is January 18.  Check the schedule for full details.

The Fellowship is a two-year opportunity to join the Minnesota Budget Project or one of 15 other State Fiscal Analysis Initiative (SFAI) organizations around the nation. SFAI groups fight to protect and promote vital public services like education, public safety and health care, while pursuing broader policy goals of tax fairness, fiscal responsibility and shared prosperity.

Coordinated by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in Washington, DC, the Fellowship includes a competitive salary, health benefits, professional development opportunities and ongoing training and support.
