Happy New Year! Three New MBA Cohorts Launched
One New MNM Cohort Formed The Hamline MBA program welcomed three new cohorts to the program this week. Over 50 new students started Leadership Skills Development in the MBA program by reading a Systemic View of Transformational Leadership. The newest Master in Nonprofit Management cohort, N6, started in Minneapolis on Thursday, January 6. The group started with Fundamentals of Nonprofit Management with Susie Brown. Welcome to our newest graduate students. What a great way to start a new year! |

Spring 2011 Schedule Announced
Graduate students mark you calendars for the spring 2011 graduate career services workshops. All workshops are 6-7:30 p.m. at the Minneapolis Center, Room 36. The spring 2011 workshops are:
Career Search Workshops Create a Master's Level Resume and Positioning Statement - January 24 Successful Job Search Strategies - February 7 Successful Interviewing - February 21 Job Search Negotiations - March 7
Career Management Workshops Your Master's Level Brand - March 21 Success at Work - April 4
Graduate students can also schedule individual career coaching sessions with Clare Foley on Monday and Tuesday evenings in the Minneapolis Center breakout rooms. These 1/2 hour sessions provide students the opportunity for individual attention.

MPA Bring a Friend Information Session

Hamline MNM Student Association Kick-Off Reminder -- January 10 at Coopers Irish Pub
We would like to invite all Hamline School of Business Nonprofit Management faculty, staff, students, and alumni to kick off Hamline's newest addition - the Hamline MNM Student Association. Please join us on January 10, 2011 from 5:00-7:30pm. We will meet at Hamline's Minneapolis Campus (1600 Utica Ave. S, St. Louis Park, 7th Floor) from 5-5:30pm (rooms 39-40) and then head over to Coopers Irish Pub (1607 Park Place Boulevard, St. Louis Park). Time will be spent socializing and learning about opportunities and events with the association. Plus, if you have not yet visited the Minneapolis campus, now is your chance! Fellowship, Minnesota Budget Project and State Fiscal Analysis Initiative If you have a graduate degree in public policy or a related field, consider the State Policy Fellowship Program, a two-year fellowship to support a diverse generation of future leaders in shaping state policies. The Fellowship is a two-year opportunity to join the Minnesota Budget Project or one of 15 other State Fiscal Analysis Initiative (SFAI) organizations around the nation. SFAI groups fight to protect and promote vital public services like education, public safety and health care, while pursuing broader policy goals of tax fairness, fiscal responsibility and shared prosperity.
Coordinated by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities in Washington, DC, the Fellowship includes a competitive salary, health benefits, professional development opportunities and ongoing training and support. Fellows are matched with the Minnesota Budget Project or another SFAI organization, where they: conduct research and analysis; produce reports and advocacy materials; engage with communities, media, and policymakers; and develop invaluable expertise and professional experience along the way.
