Where can Nonprofits Find Young Board Members? Ask Jamie McClary
The Major Gifts Report, a monthly newsletter for nonprofits looking for successful fundraising campaigns, recently asked where organizations could find young board members. HSB Program Administrator and MNM/MBA dual degree student Jamie McClary answered. Here is the quote from the December 2010 edition - "Another source for prospective young professional board members is grad schools, says Jamie McClary, program administrator for Hamline University (St. Paul, MN). "Hamline University has a Master in Nonprofit Management program that would definitely be able to provide students as prospective board members," she says. "Most of our students are professionals in the nonprofit sector looking for just an opportunity." |
