Strategy Implementation Challenges Panel Discussion

Module 4 Panel

MBA Module 4 students from three cohorts came together on Wednesday, November 3rd for an "Overcoming Strategy Implementation Challenges" panel presentation. Interim Dean Nancy Hellerud served as moderator for the panel and discussion. The speakers were Stacy Kennedy (VP, Regional Human Resource Manager; Bremer Financial Services), Jim Kwapick (Senior Vice President; Robert Half Management Resources), and Terri Seppala (Vice President, Executive Sales; American TeleCare). Each spoke of a case of strategy implementation in their organization. These ranged from on-going initiatives across internal divisions, to empirical strategies for testing new products, to creating and cultivating productive external partnerships. HSB thanks Stacy, Jim, and Terri for sharing their expertise.

Another Close Election, Another Sleepless Night for David Schultz

Minnesota loves a recount.  In 2008 the Franken/Coleman recount spilled deep into 2009.  In 2010, the Dayton/Emmer gubernatorial race was too close to call.  Professor David Schultz is present for all of it.  On election night he was on Kare11 news covering the recount possibility late into the evening.  Look for David in print over the coming weeks and read his blog for more information on the recount and the 2010 election.

Congratulations to Matt Bostrom

The people of Ramsey County Matt Bostromhave elected DPA graduate and MPA instructor Matt Bostrom as their new sheriff.  Matt is a 2003 graduate of the Doctorate in Public Administration program and has returned to Hamline frequently as an adjunct professor and as a member of the Public Administration task force.  Congratulations to Matt.  Check out his campaign website for details and read the Pioneer Press article (with a quote from David Schultz) for more information.
