Announcing the Center for Public Administration and Leadership

The School of Business is very pleased to announce the official establishment of the Center for Public Administration and Leadership (CPAL) at the Hamline School of Business. Building on the contributions of approximately 700 graduates at both the masters and doctoral level, the Center of Public Administration and Leadership will support and strengthen the practice of public service by providing opportunities for professional development, continuing education, and public discussion of key issues in the field.

The Center will offer a regular menu of seminars, certificate programs, alumni events and other activities that will allow state and local leaders to enhance their skills, network with each other, and work to improve the practice of public administration in the region. Bill Joynes will serve as director of the Center, which will be located in our Minneapolis location. The Center is housed within the Department of Public Administration (Kris Norman-Major, chair) and the Center's programs will be aligned with the department's degree programs. We will officially kickoff the opening of the center early next year in grand fashion, but in the meantime, check out the Public Administration certificate programs, our alumni page, or contact Bill with questions!
