HSB International . . . Final Call for Applicants
MBA students are invited to apply for once in a lifetime opportunities to earn MBA credits while experiencing the customs, business climate, and culture of our Asian partners. The deadline for fall MBA programs - India 2010 and China 2010 - is next Friday, July 30.

Jane Calabria McPeak's Appointment to Board Part of Busy Summer for Public Administration Department
 HSB Professor Jane Calabria McPeak has been appointed to the International City County Management Association (ICMA) Advisory Board on Graduate Education. This working group is committed to developing a new generation of well-prepared, talented public administration graduates. The advisory board works to create partnerships with state and national associations, universities and other organizations to expand professional development opportunities and develop new ways of recruiting individuals into the profession and the association. As announced last week, the Journal of Public Affairs, a publication of the National  Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration, will make its home at Hamline University. Be Sure to Register for Fall by August 2
Graduate students in traditional and cohort programs should register by Monday, August 2. After that time, we will begin placing students into cohorts who took a term off, need to retake a competency, or have to change their cohort location. Fall registration is open on Piperline. |

Jack Reardon is Keynote Speaker
Jack Reardon, professor in the School of Business, was a keynote speaker at the inaugural Conference on Teaching in Economics: Writing Across The Disciplines And Pluralism, held in Bogotá, Colombia. The conference was organized by the Universidad Sergio Arboleda with the cooperation of Universidad Central - a coalition of universities in Bogota. Reardon also presented a workshop on academic publishing for graduate students at the Universidad Sergio Arboleda and a lecture "Obstacles to Ecological Sustainability" at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, also in Bogota. |
