HUMBAA July Elections and Board Meeting
The Hamline University MBA Association (HUMBAA) elections will be in July. Positions are for 6 months and open to all current MBA students.

You must be nominated for each position. Online nominations and voting only. Nominations will open on the HUMBAA website from July 1-13. Voting opens July 14 and closes July 26 at 4:30p.m.
The new board will be announced at the next HUMBAA meeting. Those running for a position should plan to attend.

Reardon is Keynote Speaker
 Jack Reardon
Jack Reardon, professor in the School of Business, was a keynote speaker at the China National MBA Development Forum held at the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei. Reardon's talk was "Suggestions to Integrate Courses Across Disciplines." While in China, Reardon also delivered a lecture "Global Energy Demand" at the Beijing Institute of Technology and two lectures on "The Economic Power of the United States" at Ninzu University, also in Beijing.

Bonilla Presents at AESS Conference 
 Jim Bonilla
Jim Bonilla, Associate Professor of Conflict Studies in the School of Business organized a new Environmentalists of Color Caucus at the Annual Association of Environmental Studies & Science (AESS) Conference in Portland Oregon, June 17-19th. The group grew out of a Roundtable Discussion initiated by Professor Bonilla.      
Ken Fox Presents on Conflict Studies

Ken Fox, conflict studies director, School of Business associate professor, and Dispute Resolution Institute senior fellow, presented at a two day workshop, "Engaging in Constructive Conflict Work Across Cultures and Worldviews" at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Fox was also a featured keynote speaker, presenting "Teaching Co-existence Through Civic Education." Fox is also the invited keynote speaker at the Conflict Resolution Minnesota 2010 Annual Meeting in St. Paul; he will speak on "Reweaving the Fabric of Society: Restorative Justice in the United States."
Jenny Keil Helps Welcome Students at Minnesota Private College Week
 
Jenny KeilJenny Keil, professor in the School of Business, helped welcome prospective and confirmed undergraduate students to Hamline last week at the Minnesota Private College Week events.  Dr. Keil introduced students to the undergraduate learning experience.  She started by discussing the gender pay differential and then spoke about the HSB academic and social programs.

The City of Golden Valley is hiring a temporary Volunteer Coordinator.  This perons is responsible for planning, recruiting, and coordinating a volunteer workforce, publicizing and promoting volunteer activities, and for acting as a community liaison between local service groups and the City.
Hours of work will vary with attendance required at some evening and weekend events, particularly Thursday nights and Saturday days, approximately 15 hours per week.
2010 Pay Range: $10.03 ? $12.73 per hour, no benefits.
