Karen Somerville's Research Accepted for Presentation
Hamline School of Business Assistant Professor, Karen Somerville, along with her co-researcher from Carleton University's Sprott School of Business, Lorraine Dyke, have had a paper accepted for presentation at the 6th International Interdisciplinary Conference on Gender, Work and Organisation. Their paper is entitled "Women Executives and Organizational Politics: An Empirical Study of Political Behaviour". This conference is being held at the University of Keele in Staffordshire, England, June 21 to June 23, 2010. Visit the conference web site for more information. |
New Course - Public Relations for the Public Sector Do you expect a notice about a snow emergency or school closing to be sent to you by text, over the radio, by e-mail, on the television, and as a voice mail to your land line and cell phone? Then Public Relations for the Public Sector may be for you.
Effective communication is a critical skill for current and future public sector leaders. Technology and culture have dramatically changed how people communicate and expect to be communicated with. Public Relations in the Public Sector will provide students with the essential tools for effective communication in their chosen professions in the public or private sectors.
This Fall 2010 term course meets elective requirements for students in the MPA and MNM program. It is offered Mondays at the St. Paul campus.
