Congratulations to a Social Innovator
The March 15 Hamline Dialogue featured four successful social innovators who shared their stories before opening the floor for discussion. Part of the discussion centered on a contest in which participants shared their ideas for future social innovation. Master in Nonprofit Management student Nell Hurley won the contest and the $50 Salut gift card by sharing her idea for a recovery community organization that is proactive in reaching out to alcoholics or people seeking recovery. Rather than waiting for a problem, this organization would work in a reverse role from a crisis line by supporting those in need before a crisis occurred. | |
