Vietnam: The Business of Globalization from South to North
March 12-21, 2010
After successful trips to Europe and Asia, the School of Business is proud to announce a unique opportunity for MBA students to study a rapidly transitioning economy in Vietnam. Students will study globalization at Hamline University and then travel to Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi to see the impact of economic change in a developing country. Some details of the trip are still pending, but we wanted to get important course information and dates to students in time to make academic and professional decisions for 2010. Julian Schuster Interviewed for WCCO News
Dean Julian Schuster was interviewed by WCCO News for a December 11 story on the impact of holiday spending on the economy. Graduate Writing Workshops
The Writing Center and the Office of Graduate Student Life will offer writing workshops in January and February specifcially for graduate students. Full workshop information can be found here. |
Registered for Spring?
Our graduate "spring" term opens on January 4 when MBA and MPA, MNM cohort students report back to campus. Blackboard sites may open prior to that date and some course communication may be sent. Students will need to be registered to receive that information.
Registration will be open via Piperline for these courses until January 3.

Holt Endowed Fellowship
In May 2009, the School of Business announced the Holt Endowed Fellowship. The Holt Fellowship was established by Ann E. Holt in honor of her parents, Darrel and Elizabeth Holt, both graduates of Hamline University. The Holts' enthusiastic love of life-long learning and deep appreciation for ethical development and leadership are evident in the mission, vision, and values of the Holt Fellowship.
Applications are being accepted now for 2010 graduate and undergraduate spring and summer international travel and study opportunties. Please visit the Holt Endowed Fellowship web site for all the details. The due date for spring and summer applications has been updated to December 31, 2009. |
Jack Reardon at Oxford University Club
 Jack Reardon gave a keynote lecture entitled "The Changing Structure of the Renewables Industry" at a conference held November 30 at the Oxford University Club in Oxford, England. The conference solicited ideas from policy makers, government officials, academics, and several authors of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report and forwarded them for discussion to the UN Summit on Climate Change in Copenhagen. | |
