HSB Prospective Student Events:  A busy fall!

It may feel like fall has just begun, but the School of Business is actively recruiting students for our graduate programs for next spring and for our undergraduate programs for next fall.

On October 9 and 10, the HSB will be at the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) national conference held at the Minneapolis Convention Center.  Over 250 corporations and 7500 NSHMBA members are expected to attend this national event.  On October 12 and 13, we will be at the state Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) conference in Rochester, Minnesota, where we will let conference participants know about our new MBA concentration in Human Resource Management. On October 14, we are a co-sponsor at the Annual Policy Analysis Conference at the University of Minnesota where our Master and Doctorate in Public Administration will be highlighted. In early November, the 5th and 6th, we will be at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits/Minnesota Council on Foundations conference in downtown Minneapolis with a display about our Master in Nonprofit Management program.  And on November 13, we will be at the WomenVenture Conference at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

For the undergraduate programs, HSB will be participating in the Fall Open House on October 15 and 16.  During this event, students and families come to visit Hamline to explore their interests and experience what it would be like to study here. HSB faculty will hold prospective student "office hours" and there will be an HSB information session on our degrees, majors, and minors.

Stop by the HSB sessions or booths if you are at any of these events!

HSB professors Jenny Keil and Karen Somerville have co-authored a paper that has been accepted for publication. "Gender Differences in
