Hamline School of Business Weekly Update
September 4, 2009 |
The Emily S. Engle Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Hamline School of Business is pleased to announce a new endowed scholarship fund that will directly benefit female undergraduate business students. The scholarship is made possible through the generosity of Emily S. Engle, a 1968 graduate of Hamline University. She established the Emily S. Engle Endowed Scholarship Fund in appreciation of scholarships she received from Hamline, to honor her Hamline experiences, and in memory of Dr. Roger Walker (a Hamline professor of economics). Pictured below are HSB Dean Julian Schuster, Emily S. Engle, and Hamline University President Linda Hanson. |

HSB Information Session Held in India
What attracted you to Hamline? Maybe it was Hamline's tradition and reputation or perhaps it was a discussion you had with a Hamline student or graduate. Or maybe you attended an information session to talk directly to Hamline staff or faculty members. One of the MBA program's most recent information sessions was held in India when Brian Peterson from Hamline Admissions went to India in partnership with Career Mosaic India. Pictured below are Brian with two of the many people who were interested in the Hamline MBA. |

A Successful Orientation
New students in the DPA, MPA, MBA, and MNM programs were welcomed to the Hamline School of Business last week. Hamline faculty and staff introduced students to all the beauty of graduate life including books, financial aid, Blackboard, LiveText, Piperline, G-mail, homework, cohorts, student associations, and security IDs. Besides leaving with several new logins and passwords, students left with a better understanding of what lies ahead in working toward their advanced degrees. Below are photos of the new MNM cohort, a MPA cohort, and faculty welcoming the three new Minneapolis MBA cohorts.
