Public Administration Alumni, Students, and Faculty Meet

On April 23rd, over 50 public administration alumni, students and faculty attended a gathering hosted by the School of Business and the Department of Public Administration. Held at the Town and Country Club in St. Paul, the attendees had a chance to catch up with each other and on the happenings in our public administration programs, as well as hear a dynamic discussion addressing the theme "Redefining State and Local Government in Minnesota: The impacts of the national and state economic meltdown." Panelists Dane Smith, Growth and Justice, Jim Miller, League of MN Cities, Tim Houle, Crow-Wing County, Molly O'Rourke, Washington County and Heather Worthington, City of Edina shared their insights on the changing relationships between and among federal, state and local level units of government. All expect major changes in the way we do the public's business moving forward. The School of Business and Department of Public Administration plan to host similar gatherings on a semi-annual basis.  Click on the image below for a larger copy of the photo.
