ANIME SERIES

The Chatham Public LIbrary is pleased to announce the beginning of a new Anime Series (Anime is the Japanese abbreviated pronounciation for animation). In English speaking counties anime refers to Japanese animated cartoons.

This month the program begins with Charlie Brown and the Pink Panther cartoons. Next month, we will expand the genre to include Japanese animated cartoons, popularly taken from Japanese Manga (Japanese comics and print cartoons).

The library has a collection of manga titles for kids, teens and pre-teens, which participants are encouraged explore as part of the program.

Volunteers Needed!

We are looking for volunteers to assist us with:

-Free Movie Night

-Kid/Tween afterschool activities

-Dusting

-Providing literacy coaching (training provided)

Migrating Birds

Wednesday, November 9, 2:30-3:30pm

Come and explore the world of migrating birds with Chelsea Benson from Mudd Creek Environmental Center.

National Game and Puzzle Week

Monday thru Wednesday, November 21-23

2:30-4:00pm
Join us after school to play new board games and puzzles.

Halo Game Afternoon/Night

Continues every Wednesday during the months of November and December, 4:00pm to 7:45pm

*November 23 the library closes early for Thanksgiving.

Preschool Story Hour

Friday, November 4 & 18

Spend an hour with friends reading, singing and having fun.

LIBRARY CARD REQUIRED AT CHECKOUT

Patrons at times wish to checkout items without their card in hand. Because library materials can be the property of other libraries and to ensure that materials are checked out to the correct person, it is necessary to have your library card at checkout.
