LOVE POETRY: From the Ancient Egyptians to Cole Porter - Some Serious, Some Funny

The Friends of the Chatham Public Library invite you to join Wendy Power Spielmann and James Kraft for a spirited poetry reading at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 1, at the Chatham Library.

 

Come join us for some of the best and funniest love poems from the ancient Egyptian to the present, with a focus upon English and American poems and the love lyrics of Cole Porter. The reading is open to the public free of charge.

 

Refreshments will be served.

Join us afterschool to make haunted gingerbread houses.

Tuesday, Oct. 25  3pm to 4pm
We'll get right to the point: you're invited to make a spooky finger-shaped pen after school at the library.

Drum Circle

Thursday, Oct 13, 20 & 27  3:30pm to 4:30pm
Calling all young people, join us after school and make the library come alive with a drum circle lead by Allen Livermore. Djembe drums and other percussion instruments will be provided.

 

Spooky Ghost Stories

Monday, Oct. 31, 3pm

 

Halo Game Night

Every Wednesday, 4pm to 8pm

(on Oct 12 it will start at 5pm)

 

Preschool Story Hour
