The Alpaca Bean Coffee Company Registered Trademark

Well we are looking at moving one more step...

Yep, we are looking at changing our labels so that you folks that want to sell The Alpaca Bean Coffee, but do not necessarily want Walnut Knoll Farm alpacas gracing the label, will have an option...the generic Alpaca Bean Label! Here is a sample of the proposed label:

Bos medium

What do you think???  Ok...I know it is a huacaya image, no way could you mistake that head for a suri, right? There is a reason for that...it is our brand.  You see we started our alpaca journey with huacaya types...that led to developing a "brand" for our coffee based on that image.  Now if you do not want a huacaya image on the label of The Alpaca Bean coffee you sell...well, there is an alternative...we will print up labels with YOUR suri!  How 'bout that????

The coffee we sell on our farm will probably still have both the "generic" labels and some of our farm's herdsires' labels.  Something to think about...

With all that said, if folks get back to us that they prefer real live alpaca images on their coffee bags...well that will shoot the idea of a generic label, don't you think?

But you know branding is the rage now days, matter of fact it has been for quite some time now.  You want folks to see an image, or a logo...or even hear a phrase and think of your product.  Now a "product" can be most anything...it can be coffee, an alpaca farm, an automobile, a vacation spot...anything.  Now I know when you see

you think...man, sure wish I had a good ol' mug of The Alpaca Bean coffee right now!  Right? Or say you hear someone say,"A taste of the alpaca lifestyle,"  you immediately start a pot of The Alpaca Bean Coffee to satisfy a deep craving that has just come up to the surface. Right???

Well, maybe not...but let's keep working on these thoughts and cravings.  We are looking to you for your thoughts and suggestions.  You never know...you might offer just the right insight that just might trigger the ultimate brand for this grand adventure...maybe you might help us to know if we ALREADY might have the best brand as well.

Give it some thought...you know we are in this together! :o)

'til next time...

On A Personal Note:

Again, I begin this part of the newsletter a bit differently...I begin by saying, "Thank You!"  Yep, thanks to everyone that writes back comments concerning thoughts and ramblings found here.  We receive both sides of the spectrum and we appreciate them all...know why? Cause it is kinda' like sitting around the table with good friends and family...having just finished a good meal, holding onto a good mug of coffee...and enjoying a good conversation of sorts!

Oftentimes we do not stop to think that with each tick of the clock a new generation replaces the last, and with each candid, yet friendly, discussion, a bit of wisdom passes as well.

Speaking of clocks...weren't we speaking of clocks?  Have you ever noticed how fast time flies...especially in computer years?  Computer years?????  Well, you know the lifespan of a very good computer is somewhere between two and two and half years.  Just when you are beginning to enjoy knowing the ins and outs of your computer...well...it either crashes and burns at the most inappropriate time or it slows down to the point that you can hit the enter key and go about preparing a good pot of The Alpaca Bean Coffee before it finishes whatever it is doing! You know when it decides to do something that you really wish it would not do...like right in the middle of an important payroll activity it decides...hey, what a great time to update!  By the way, when I am through updating I am going to shut down!

Not only does it age on its own account, but the software folks are always finding ways to make our computers look dumb...especially the operating system folks.  You know they always come out with the ultimate system for taking care of you by taking care of your programs and your time.  Yep, they take care of your programs because they do not operate on the new system unless you get an upgrade...$...the worst is when the operating system folks ALSO developed the PROGRAMS that are now not working!

Come to think of it...You know there is only one way to combat this, don't you???  We all have to start writing everything "longhand" again!  Just think...we will get more exercise for our hands, we will save the U.S. Post Office...and we will be up all night - first spending forever trying to find a pen that will write, then composing whatever we want to say...then licking all those stamps...hummmmm, I think I will stick with the maddening computer world.

Man, how did I get to this point...without a point?  You see...I had dental surgery and I think they gave me too much pain killer! :o)  At least that is what I am gonna' blame this mess on...that is my plan anyway! ;o)  But looking through the fog, the main point I wanted to make from the beginning...thank you for your time, I always like being here with you!

Peace,
