This is no April Fool!!!!! 

Nope what I have to share is not foolin' nor is it a joke...instead it will hold the promise to be a real joy for each of you that click into our e-store or visit us here on the farm...

I have already let the cat halfway out of the bag, telling you about our new dark medium quest for perfection! :o)  But that is not all I have to talk about this month... We will have two, yes two, dark medium roasts to tingle your taste buds and some terrific mugs to hold that wonderful brew.  We also have some great t-shirts, both short and long sleeves, to put some class on your bod!  Not only that...we have renamed our excellent Peruvian decaf after Ms. Pinkie...boy, do we need to talk!

Oh yes!!!!  We will also be offering a new three-way blend,

Tres Amigos.  

Now to get on with the talk...  Just why do we feel we need to do all this stuff?  Well, in some ways it just happened...and in ways...well, we have been offering some things locally and at shows, and we feel it is your time to share in this delight! :o)

First, about the four mentioned coffees...

Bo's Mucho Macho Medium:  This is a coffee born out of desire to come up with a truly good medium roast coffee that we could provide on a high and consistant level.  Well, we now have that and more.  Bo's MMM is a Bolivian roast taken to the dark medium level...we have found that if we roast this bean to a point beyond the regular medium point but not yet to a full city level, we can bring out some of the best characters of a great bean.  A bit of a fruity bite, combined with a mellow aftertaste and excellent body make for a full mug of morning...or afternoon delight!

Prancing Pronking Peruvian Dark Medium:  What a coffee!  Where has it been?? Why have we waited until now?  Well...you see we had a medium Peruvian that was really not bad...but for some reason we had a problem keeping a hold on the exact level of roast for this coffee...then we developed our dark medium standard...and there you have it!  A new, fantastic coffee roast is born to The Alpaca Bean Coffee Company!  This coffee with its kick your rear in gear good tastes and edgy good characteristics...it will get you going and keep you coming back for more!

Pinkie's Peruvian Decaf is a tribute to Jude's delightful Mom...our Mom.  Just as Pinkie could not be held down...well, this decaf will have you jumping up and asking for more and more and more...and the best part, you will not be jumping because of the caffeine!  Nope, it will be the excellent tastes of the Peruvian bean that will get you going!  This natural water decaf will show you that decafs do not have to be placed on the bottom shelf of your kitchen any longer!

Tres Amigos:  This wonderful blend is the only coffee roast we offer that blends three...yes, three arabica coffees blended in just the right proportions  to make you forget the Musketeers of old...and start looking everywhere for these guys!  The best of Bolivia,Peru, and Colombia come together in a totally, totally delicious mug of the bean...or the three beans - in this case! :o)

Now how 'bout the mugs???  You will never regret getting one of these mugs...just like the folks that bought out most of our show booths' displays this year and last.  Why have we not had these on the web store before now?  Well, you see there is a problem with making sure we have enough to sell...each of these beautiful mugs are hand turned on a potter's wheel...and that takes time, lots of time.  We hope to have the latest order arrive in time to include on the e-store sometime during this month.  Keep an eye open for them!

Finally, you are finally getting a chance to order your very own The Alpaca Bean T-Shirt!  We have had these shirts available locally and at shows...just like the mugs...a special process makes these shirts very comfortable and good lookin'!  Both long and short sleeve versions of our, "Life is Too Short to Drink a Bad Mug of Coffee" tee's are available.  Don't worry if you get a back order because of oversales...we have an excellent t-shirt provider that will have them to you within a very short period of time.

On a Personal Note

Now just what do you think of when you hear...APRIL!  Yep, taxes, taxes, taxes!  You know what that means...staying awake loooonnnggg hours, that is unless you are smart and have tax dude or dudette that is taking care of all this stuff.  If not, then you need to get on-line quick and order the best keep you up late at night drink...The Alpaca Bean Coffee of course!  Well, that is it for the commercials! :o)

Now, let's get on with the important stuff if we can.  You know celebrating b'days (my Jude's for an example!), celebrating anniversaries (it does not matter what kind), celebrating reunions (school, families, kisses, whatever), celebrating life (waking up each day)...JUST CELEBRATE!  We do not do enough celebrating so we are missing out on a really neat part of this life of ours...don't you think!?!  Hey if you can just celebrate the fact that you are you and you mean a great deal to someone on this earth...ain't that neat?  

You know you can even find a reason for celebrating TAXES!  Yes you can!!!  Folks use to really wonder why I could laugh during the years when we forked out rather large amounts for the aid of Uncle Sam...well, that act meant we had done rather well during that year and on top of that, we could help keep this great country of ours sending out the services we all demand!  Well, it is much better to laugh than cry...don't you think? :o)  

We need to help everyone around us take on the great resolve we have!  Smile...better yet...grin, that will drive your enemies crazy and make your friends smile with you!  Wish everyone well in all they do...when someone does the "one upsmanship thing" on you, give them a boost up so that they will flip out over the height they reach...that will keep them wondering why you always seem to be "in charge".  He, he, he...ain't that grand?  Well shoot, why not go "all in" and seek these folks out...and shake their hands...and pat them on the back...and tell them how great they are and...naw, don't do that...it would be cruel and self serving.  Better to wait for your opportunities...then pounce! :o)

Well that is all the "great" advice I can fit into this newsletter. Maybe we can "talk" again soon...

...no...wait there is more...or better stated--the most!  The reasons for celebrating go well beyond the things I have written about to this point...yep, a whole lot further.  They are somewhat related to birthdays or anniversaries...they are repetitious and usually we do not give them too much thought.  You know I am talking about mornings and every new beginning.  They are GREAT!  I often look out our bedroom window that overlooks our herdsire area and also toward the rising sun...the beauty of the morning mist over their paddocks cannot be easily described or appreciated if you have not had that experience...or one like it.  I find that during those moments I reflect on the new opportunity I have for making the day right and fulfilling.  An opportunity that I often neglect to nurture as the day unfolds and THAT is a shame...a shame and an opportunity lost that will never repeat itself. 

On those days that I can look back upon as opportunities offered and opportunities accepted and (to some extent) fulfilled...well, I want to celebrate them more these days.  Why?  Well, you see I understand that each day that I mess up is one more day gone of a decreasing number.  Funny how as we age, we somehow start to appreciate these things more. Also, we begin to celebrate the knowledge that we have been given a gift that we will take with us into eternity...a gift that was realized that first Easter Morn over two thousand years ago.

No I am not hoping to check out of this great world of ours anytime soon...I have too many celebrations to share...you know, something as simple as roasting that excellent roast of coffee so that all that partake can also celebrate, or maybe being present when one of our beautiful dams gives birth to that next great herdsire or award winning maiden fair, or maybe just looking into my Jude's beautiful brown eyes one more time...what a trip! (For those of you that did not grow up during the 60's and 70's that means what a great experience!)

I know this has been somewhat longer than usual...sorry 'bout that.  But you see, I want you to get with it and celebrate your lives...celebrate each new day, and the folks that will be in your world that day!  Celebrate that wonderful mug of The Alpaca Bean Coffee or that cup of good ol' Earl Gray Tea!  Smile and plan a trip somewhere with a loved one...perhaps to Walnut Knoll Farm!  Yep, come visit the fruitcake that writes this stuff! :o)
