Its a new year and a new beginning!!!!!!!!!!
It is great to know that we can have a new chance to get it right, isn't it? Each new year brings with it a new opportunity to be on the top of our game and more! We at The Alpaca Bean Coffee Co. want to build on the goodness of our products, and the connections we have with our friends and customers...we want you to know that you mean a great deal to us...each and every day.
We are not much in pronouncing beginning of the year resolutions, cause they usually are mere pronouncements, not firm commitments! We do like making commitments and sticking by them and that is what we, God willing, do for you each time we crank up the ol' roasting machine...we commit to trying to make you the best cup or mug of coffee possible.
We did that when we searched far and wide to find a true quality green coffee bean from Bolivia. We searched the web for weeks trying to identify where we could find the sweetest, boldest, bean possible...and we found it! The coffee grown in Bolivia has the potential to be one of the finest coffees around; however, without a consistent supplier that quality is fleeting. We made the commitment to buy from a quality supplier and buy a top quality bean on a consistent basis. We also made the commitment to study the makeup of each shipment so that we can roast the coffee to a pleasing stage each and every time. Those of you that have tasted our Bodacious Bolivian on an ongoing basis know this...and that is good.
We follow this practice in all our coffees, that is why, at times, there is some delay in getting the orders shipped...if we are not pleased with the roast, then we re-roast prior to shipping. We see all our coffees as our signature, one we hope you can always trust!

On A Personal Note...
Music touches the soul and seeks eternity
Now that is a pretty deep statement, but one that is so true for many, many folks and has been through time. Last month I wrote of my Mom and her love for Christmas...well, I cannot keep from sharing more about her here... Mom was a woman that loved her grandkids and the fact that so many of them were blessed with the ability to provide happiness through song. So much so that as she lay on her bed of last earthly existence, and as she reached out for that eternal light, actually with her hand on the door knob of everlasting life, she responded to that love. You see, Mom had slipped beyond communication and was non responsive to the human voice...or so we thought.
Her family,with many of her beloved grands, was gathered around her bed awaiting the last moment. Then this talented group began singing some of Mom's favorite hymns...slowly Mom's lips began to move and formed the most beautiful smile, a smile of being blessed with love...
Music soothes the soul and comes in many shapes, forms, and beats. Each day as Judy and I go among our alpaca herd we hear their music...a quiet hummmm. It is like a peaceful lullaby, or yes, even a favorite hymn...and it quiets the soul. There is another type of music, one that we have had many opportunities to experience while we attended alpaca events...the sounds of voices that become music to our ears because they are from friends, both old and new. Finally, but surely not any less a treasure, is the sound of the music we listen to as we travel to and from show venues...the beautiful sound of our eldest daughter that surrounds us as we listen to her latest CD...yes we are often blessed by all these soul moving sounds!
At this time of year we want to wish each of you a very music filled year, music that will allow you to reflect on your past blessings and the blessings that surround you today and each day of this new year...2010! Music in all shapes, forms, and beats...maybe even music that only you and your soul are able to hear!
