Happy Holidays to our customers!
Join us on Saturday, December 11 between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. for cookies and cider. Santa Claus and strolling carolers will be visiting Washington, Custer, and Main Streets, and Chicago Ave. Actors from Piccolo Theatre will present live holiday window exhibits in some store windows to delight children and adults. There will also be a raffle, and the more stores that you visit, the more chances you'll have to win one of dozens of prizes from local merchants.
We hope you'll spend some time browsing in our store where you can find some truly unique gifts: first editions, autographed books, maps, prints, and more! We have books in many price ranges. Click on any photo in this newsletter for more information about that book.
We will be open Christmas eve and New Year's eve until 3 p.m., and December 26 and January 2, noon to 5 p.m.

We buy books!
We buy books, one or many.
You can contact us by email or phone (847-328-2132). If you have many books to sell, a list is often helpful to us, with title, author, publisher, date -- and if a 20th/21st century book -- the presence or absence of a dust jacket. The importance of a book, its physical condition, and the "collectibility" of a title, are other considerations. Consignment is an option with higher-priced books.
