Greetings,
The dog days of summer have arrived! After a few days of humidity, the sea breezes have freshened and have returned the Boothbay Region to more temperate climate.
This is the perfect time to explore the performing arts scene here on the Boothbay peninsula. The Boothbay Playhouse is offering a stunning line-up of musicals this summer including "Once Upon a Mattress" and "Thank You for the Music." The Carousel Music Theater offers dinner and three musical reviews this summer: Lipstick and the Gambler, Surfin' USA, and In the Parlor, With a Candlestick! The historic Opera House at Boothbay Harbor is open year round and offers a wide variety of shows for people of all ages that range from classical to country, from celtic to comedy and everything in between. The Lincoln Arts Festival will present concerts and shows throughout the summer that include classical orchestral concerts, choral offerings, and jazz. In addition, there are music cruises aboard some of our excursion boats, outdoor band concerts, and many of our local restaurants and hotels periodically will offer live music events to their guests and patrons.
We hope that you are enjoying your summer and that you will consider spending some time with us here in the Boothbay Harbor Region!
Warm wishes,
Catherine Wygant
