Dear Valued Members,
I would like to thank the Board, the staff, the members and the community for welcoming me to the area.
We've had a busy first week and I would like to welcome our new Board members, Karen Greenleaf from the Boothbay Region YMCA, Pamela Riley from the Hodgdon Island Inn and Margaret Hoffman from the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.
I would also like to offer special recognition to the Executive Committee, the Board and the staff of Lori, Heather and Rachel for their hard work during the transition and for bringing me onboard. I am very excited to be here and look forward to getting to know all of you.
We will be hosting an Open House on Wednesday, August 10th from 5-7pm at the chamber and hope you will be able to join us. We have created this monthly Executive Report to keep you informed of the hot topics at the chamber. We will be migrating some of the E-news information to this report and focusing the E-news more toward visitor and public information to bring more business to the region. We welcome your thoughts. Events: Maine Brewers' Guild Scavenger Hunt | | | Please join us!
On July 30th the "Craft Beer Comes to Boothbay" event will take place at the Boothbay Resort & Brewery. This event has the potential to bring hundreds of new faces into the region and is an incredible opportunity to promote area businesses. We will continue to seek collaborative efforts to benefit all. Our E-news will feature member events submitted to the chamber.
When: Saturday, July 30 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Where: Boothbay Resort
What: Boothbay Resort and Boothbay Craft Brewery will host the first ever fundraiser sponsored by the Maine Brewer's Guild to showcase and promote Maine Brewers.

At 4pm on Saturday, July 30th we will kick off the Scavenger Hunt to encourage participants at the Beer Festival to explore the Region.

The chamber has placed an 1/8 page ad in Downeast Magazines September issue, promoting the fall season in the Boothbay Harbor Region. If you are interested in Co-op advertising for the October issue, please contact the chamber office for further information. Reservation deadline is August 1st.

An impressive three page co-op ad featuring 18 members will appear in the August issue of the Scene Magazine . If you are interested in placing a co-op ad in the September issue please contact Lori by August 1st.
- Writer Melissa Coleman spent 48 hours in the Boothbay Harbor Region gathering information for her feature article in the October issue of Maine Magazine . With the focus on our region, this issue is an excellent opportunity to promote your business! For information on co-op advertising contact Lori before August 1st.
