MRA Greens the ICC

Mahan Rykiel is pleased to be part of the Intercounty Connector team, which officially celebrates the opening of the first five miles of the 18-mile highway today.

After many years of planning and design, this new roadway will be a significant enhancement to the Washington D.C. metropolitan area transportation network.

Since developing Master Plan guidelines for the 17-mile I-270 corridor in the 1980's to our current work on the Red Line and Purple Line projects, MRA has been involved in the changing transportation landscape throughout the region for over 25 years. Our focus on context, environmental issues, and passion for creating people-oriented places and systems has informed our designs for major interstates, main streets, transit stops and bikeways.
