It is time for our Skillin's Holiday Open House! This weekend, November 20 and 21, we kick off our Holiday Season in Skillin's Country with our Holiday Open House and we hope you can make it.

Our Skillin's Elves are working very hard to make our stores the best I have ever seen them. We do not have any formal classes this weekend but we will have our people front and center making boxwood trees, decorating wreaths and garlands. They will be glad to show you the tricks of our trade all weekend!

Our Door Prizes have always been a "staple" of our Holiday Open House and we have many door prizes for you to register for! All you have to do is come to the store!
We also have refreshments galore to sustain you all weekend long.
Once again this Saturday from 9 AM to Noon at Skillin's Cumberland our friends from the Cumberland Farmers Market will be on full display. Thanksgiving is fast approaching and my guess is they have some Maine grown offerings for you and your family! The Cumberland Farmers Market is with us in Skillin's Cumberland every Saturday from 9 AM to Noon!
On Sunday at 1 PM John McDonald will be appearing at Skillin's Falmouth for a Book Signing! John McDonald is heard twice every weekend at 6 AM on 560 WGAN. He has been on the air on WGAN for 18 years. John is a native Mainer and a multi-faceted entertainer. John is also a Maine humorist and president of the Maine Storytellers Association. He has written several books of Maine humor and writes a syndicated weekly newspaper column found in many papers around the state. John is a great guy and will be fun to meet!

My wife and I were chatting the other night. She has a good amount of family that
lives outside of Maine in the southeast and southwest of the USA. Once again we will be sending them Maine made Christmas wreaths from Skillin's! Her family loves that scent of Maine--that balsam scent and the rich green balsam color reminds her family of home.
