Angels in Starbucks
My local Starbucks has a fun game that I love to play. They write a statistic on the board, and customers guess the answer. Winners get a free pastry. I'm always up for a pastry and I love playing. Each week, I go in for my soy latte and give it my best shot. But I never won...until recently.
The question was something like this: "75% of Americans hide their money here." I walked up to the counter without a clue and felt a huge, glorious presence right behind me and to the right. A loud voice whispered clearly in my ear "shoes." Without thinking, I blurted out "shoes." And I won. I was jumping up and down with excitement just like a little kid. Excitement at winning and excitement for yet another angel encounter. It wasn't just the fun of winning. I know the angel was giving me even more confirmation of his existence and presence.
All too often, we hear the voice of angels and disregard it. How many times have you heard an answer to your prayers or intuitively felt the answer and didn't act on the message? It's easy to brush aside the angel's guidance as not authentic or as imagination. Or your conscious mind might even talk yourself out of listening to the guidance that is given to you. But when we don't trust the messages that are meant to guide us, we shut out the angels and rely only on our limited human abilities which don't get us very far without the power of spiritual connection.
The angels are waiting for you to let them in. As messengers of God, they want you to consciously partner with them. This way, they can do their job of assisting humankind and lift the Earth to higher vibratory states. These messages are the answers to our prayers and often come as action steps to take.
Some of us receive angel messages audibly, as a vision, as a gut feeling or sensing something. Be attuned to how you receive those messages and pay attention.
This week, I invite you to ask your angels for guidance on a particular issue. And then listen for the answer. Now take it one step further and after hearing the answer, act on it. Be sure to give thanks. As you continue to heed the angel's guidance, you will receive more and more of it in your daily life.
After all, if angels are in Starbucks they are surely wherever you are too.
