"Then God said to Cain,"Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? If you reach higher, will you not rise? But if you do not reach higher, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it (Genesis 4:6-7)."
Why was it so difficult for Cain to reach just a little higher?
He wondered, "If I reach higher, will I then be asked to reach even more?"
