Our summer has finally showed it's lovely sun...well at least for a few days. Hopefully, that wasn't all we'll see of it.
We've also entered Fall's bounty of fairs, festivals, and activities of all kinds. Be sure to check out SFkids.org regularly to find the best weekend ideas around.
We love to hear from other parents with ideas about kid-friendly restaurants, activities, and more. We're also always looking for people to write feature articles. If you have something you'd like to submit we'd love to hear from you. -Kim, Chris, Robin, & Nina, the SFkids.org team |

| Grandparents Day |
National Grandparents Day (Sunday, 9/12) originated with Marian McQuade, a housewife in Fayette County, West Virginia. Her primary motivation was to champion the cause of lonely elderly in nursing homes. She also hoped to persuade grandchildren to tap the wisdom and heritage their grandparents could provide.
If your children's grandparents aren't around, give them a call and find another older individual to spend the day with.
