Paintings by Annette Poitau
"Abstract Colors" is a dialogue between Annette Poitau's will and the chemical reaction of color on canvas. Both rich in color and grounded in textural natural form, Poitau's paintings are an intimate dance with matter and primordial gesture.
Poitau received her MFA with honors from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs in Paris. After exhibiting her paintings extensively in France, Poitau moved to the United States. She currently has her studio in Oberlin, Ohio. Her paintings can be found in private and public collections in the United States, Europe, and Japan.
