January 10 - February 4, 2012 THE 11TH ANNUAL ART INTER/NATIONAL EXHIBITION
Public Reception: Saturday, January 14th: 5 - 8pm Free and open to the public!
Box Heart Gallery's Art Inter/National Exhibition explores how the immediate environment impacts the artistic process and influences what each artist creates. Armed with an ability to see scenes as a collection of lines, shadows, shapes, and contours, artists tend to see the world as it actually is. This form of seeing is the impetus behind all change. When manifested into art, the artist's vision becomes the foundation for a scientifically informed account of the mind.
Box Heart received over 500 entries, from regional, national, and international artists, this year. Of these entries, we selected 20 artists for participation and 25 works of art in a variety of media. Unified by a wider appreciation for the many dimensions of uncertainty, the artwork selected for this year's Art Inter/National Exhibition visually describe what is ultimately important, what is true, and how are senses are connected to questions of truth.
