Crista Pisano was born and raised in northern New Jersey. In 1989, she began painting in oils at the Ridgewood Art Institute. While there, Pisano studied portrait, still-life, and landscape - which became her main focus. Pisano went on to receive her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Lyme Academy and her Masters of Fine Arts in Painting from the New York Academy.
Tate Hudson was born on Portsmouth Naval Base, and spent his childhood bouncing between the rural/backwards hills of West Virginia and the culturally mixed/progressive leaning of Norfolk, Virginia. His unsettling upbringing coupled with the constant exposure to new influence and style shaped the method in which he works today.
Jessica grew up outside Luckey, Ohio and always wanted to make things and sell them. Tyson grew up in Fremont, Ohio with some obsessive compulsive issues and an affinity for the tedious and the detailed. They met a production pottery studio in northwest Ohio, where they were co-workers for five years before they realized they were perfect for one another.
