The
Travelling Wave:
a collection of international artists
concerned about peace amongst all peoples.
The Travelling Wave is a group of six artists that met at the 2003 Biennale in Florence,
Italy. From seven different countries, each became good friends despite
language barriers and cultural differences. They decided to form an artist group
where each member would host an exhibit in their native country. From Spain, Turkey, Italy, Canada, Brazil and the USA, the Travelling Wave believes that
by communicating love and friendship to each other and through their art, they are making an effort for peace in this world.
"We believe that in this moment, more than every other, our
responsibility as artists is to work for peace."
Public Reception: Saturday, June 27th from 5-8pm Free and open to the public.
The exhibition features work by:
- Sandra Bray, Canada
- Safa Bute, Turkey
