visualizeSEE IT - TO GET IT
During the 2010 Winter Olympics, two time snowboarding gold medal winner Shaun White, (Carrot Top) was asked what the secret to his success was. Anyone who watched Shaun perform would agree he was totally amazing!. His answer? "Every night before I go to sleep, I picture myself on those slopes. I see myself doing it perfectly."

Visualization. Athletes do it all the time.
So do dancers and other performers. They practice in their mind. That is all visualization is. Seeing the outcome you want. Conscious mind knows what it wants, but if we don't create a "blueprint" for the subconscious mind to work with, it's much more difficult to build success. This is because the subconscious mind has to not only see it (have a clear image of the end result) but be OK with it (not have any resistance to it) before it will allow you go there.

In his book Psycho-Cybernetics written in the 1960's, Maxwell Maltz described how our subconscious mind cannot differentiate between reality and fantasy. He recommends we practice imagining reaching our goals while being in a relaxed state. Although written so long ago, techniques in this book are used today in the area of peak performance and goal setting.

In my EFT workshops we always do an exercise called VAK to the Future, something I learned in a class I took years ago. It is a great exercise to help with the visualization process and goes like this. Think about a goal you want. Maybe it's to lose weight. Maybe it's to quit smoking or some other addiction. Maybe you want to improve a relationship, or increase your sales on the job, exercise more, or stop gossiping all the time. Now close your eyes and pretend that your success has already been achieved. Tell your mind that you are there, in your new life! Good for you, you did it! Now step into the picture.

As if you are watching you in a movie, look around. See your new life vividly and in great detail. Where are you? Who is with you? What are you doing? When you look in the mirror what do you see? Make it fun and imaginative. It's your movie and you are the writer and director and have the lead role too! Come up with three examples of what a successful you would look like. The V is for Visual.

Now, still in the movie, start listening. What do you hear? What are people saying about you? What might you be saying to yourself? Listen for any other sounds you might hear. Hear what a successful you would hear. And come up with three examples. The A is for Auditory.

Lastly, in this movie of your new successful life, pay attention to how you feel. Notice how your body feels. Notice your posture and your sense of relaxation. What has changed? How is your energy? How would a successful you actually feel? The K is for Kinesthetic.

We had no problem using our imagination as kids.
It's time as adults to brush up on that old skill. By imagining the entire "picture" together a couple times a day, we can actually rewire our neurology, create an energy of expectation and change the "difficult" to a probable reality.

From aluminum in deodorant to mercury in fish, we live in a world where our exposure to toxic metals is derived from many different sources
. As industrialization has increased, so has the presence of these metals along with arsenic (in chicken feed) cadmium and lead. Try as we might, it's virtually impossible to avoid these metals which even in small amounts can cause negative effects such as fatigue, headaches, digestive problems and even skin conditions.   

It behooves all of us to include natural methods to attempt to rid the body of these destructive substances on a regular basis. Spirulina and chlorella are are both single-cell micro algae organisms that have been on earth since the dawn of time. Many traditional societies have revered these superfoods and today more than ever they can be more relevant than ever for achieving health and well-being.

Spirulina can be an effective chelating agent for removing mercury along with radioactive substances, and has also been used to remove cadmium and lead from waste water. Chlorella contains peptides and proteins which bind to the metals and usher them out of the body. Both spirulina and chlorella exhibit strong healing and regenerating properties. Because they are food they are filled with vitamins minerals and proteins which work in a synergistic way to increase energy.

Regarding how much to take to do a heavy metal cleanse? According to Mike Adams from NaturalNews.com spirulina and chlorella can be taken in high doses. And because they bind with and carry metals out, they can reduce some of the common side effects of detox. He recommends anywhere from 20 to 30 grams a day. They can be taken together. You can start with about 500 mg. per day and titrate up to allow your body to adjust. After completing detox a maintenance dose of 3 to 6 grams a day is recommended.
