The Stephens Group Partners with School Perceptions

The Stephens Group has entered into an exciting partnership with School Perceptions. School Perceptions specializes in conducting surveys for school districts.

The two companies have partnered to create Next Generation Technology Assessmentsfor School Districts. Currently the two companies have developed an eighth grade proficiency assessment, teacher survey, library media survey, administrator survey and technology leader survey. Hypothesi, an educational research firm is also working with the two companies to help with statistical validation of the surveys.

All of the surveys are research based. The eighth grade proficiency assessment aligns to the ISTE NETS standards, AASL Standardsand the Partnership for 21st century skills.

The Stephens Group will be using these surveys in their consulting work of helping school districts with develop information technology strategic plans.

Technology provided by School Perceptions allows districts to collect longitudinal data on their progress over time. Teachers can receive class lists of individual student proficiency ratings. Districts can also run class-to-class, school-to-district, district to CESA, and district to state comparison reports.

The Stephens Group and School Perceptions is looking for educators to serve on our advisory committee. The advisory committee will meet annually at the WEMTA conference, receive quarterly updates, and will be invited to periodic feedback webinars. If you are interested in serving on as an advisory committee member, please send a one page letter describing your background in educational technology and the reason for wanting to be on the committee to tstephens@thestephensgroup.com.

If you would like more information about how NextGeneration Technology Assessments can assist your district with information technology planning, please contact Tammy Stephens at (800) 408.4935.
