Teaching in a Mobile Environment Workshops
May 8th, at Cardinal Stritch University


Fee: $150, Includes cost of the course, catered lunch, and keynote speaker

Keynote Speaker: Paula Walser, Director of E- Learning at CESA 6 in Oshkosh

Participants can choose one of three workshops to attend:
  • Digital Media in the Classroom- Focus on mobile technologies and the use of various digital media tools
    in the classroom to increase student engagement and learning.
  • Using the iPod Touch in the Classroom- This session will open the door to possible applications in your curriculum to assist with each students' 21st Century Learning Skills.
  • Using Technology in Performance-Based Assessment- Explore the use of emerging technologies such as Rubistar, Wikis, Moodle, VoiceThread in creating strong assessment practices and consider strategies
    such as rubric assessment and performane-based assessments.

Participants can earn 1 Graduate Credit for an additional $155. Tuition will be collected at the workshop.

Apply for an ide@s Scholarship to Attend MCMC 2010
The University of Wisconsin System and the University of Wisconsin-Extension in partnership with The Stephens Group, invites Wisconsin educators to apply for for an Ide@s Scholarship. Recipients of the scholarship will be reimbursed their attendance fee (a $350 value) to the Milwaukee Digital Media Conference July 27th-30th at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Online Tool of the Month

Our online tool of the month is Voki.com. Voki is a fun, easy to use avatar creation site. It allows students to create their own personalized talking avatars to create book reviews and other classroom activities. Join us for the May 8th for Digital Media in the Classroom workshop to learn more about Voki and other free tools that can be used in your classroom.
