Each month we will devote this column in our newsletter to how PODetc Courses help educators meet the standards The International Society of Technology Education has developed National Education Technology Standards.
This month we will be examining the standard Research and Information Fluency.
The Stephens Group is proud to announce we have a new PODetc course to meet this standard. The course begins April 12th.
The course is broken up into four modules, one module for each week of the course.
- Module 1: Search Tools and their Secrets
- Module 2: Online 'Thinking Tools'
- Module 3: Plagiarism in the Digital Age
- Module 4: Open Educational Resources
The deadline to register for the course is April 5th. More information about the course is available on at the PODetc website. Participants can take the course for 1 graduate credit through the University of Green Bay.

and Creativity" and how you can apply and integrate it into your
curriculum with integrated technology! Gain insight into how to balance
your curriculum with integrated technology, learn how to design
curriculum for use in your classroom, and participate in a
collaborative environment to share and build surplus of useful

Tech Literary 101: Foundations in Collaborative Tools February 22- March 19
1 graduate credit available through the University of Green Bay
Establish your presence with the creation of an online homesite!
Through this online course, you will be introduced to the concept of
"cloud computing" and the use of open source ware for purposes of
professional development and collaboration. Course activities are
designed to assist you with your online collaboration skills in

instruction, is now offered by about 25 percent of all K-12 public
