Please Welcome Our New MDMC2010 Conference Chair!
Chad Kafka

Chad Kafka has been an instructor and conference planner for the Stephens Group since the fall of 2007.  After attending the first Milwaukee Digital Media Conference at the Milwaukee Art Museum in the summer of 2007, Chad sought out Tammy and asked how he could help and be involved with the conference planning for the next year.  Chad works full-time for Franklin Public Schools as a middle school computer teacher and Technology Coach for staff.  He is currently teaching a New Media class for 8th Grade students where they learn how to podcast, manipulate digital images and experience some of the newest Web 2.0 technologies.

On the side, Chad runs Kafka Productions, a graphic design and screen printing business.  He enjoys bicycle riding with his wife on trails near their home in Waukesha and playing with their dog, Bailey.

As Conference Chair, Chad will be involved in planning the conference, assisting instructors in preparing for the conference, and working with corporate sponsors.

Welcome aboard Chad!

Diigo

Diigo is a social bookmarking tool. What makes Diigo so unique is the ability to form groups and conduct collaborative research. Diigo also lets members create virtual sticky notes and highlight web content for others to see. Members can create an summary web page of their sources, a tag cloud widget, and have their own discussion boards.

Diigo will be one of the tools that we will be using at The Milwaukee Digital Media Conference this summer. It is also used in our PODetc Course Tech Literacy 102: Building Knowledge Management Systems.
