Changes are afoot at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County! In addition to upcoming fundraising events, we are launching a social networking program, including a facebook page and a twitter account. As always, we want to extend thanks to everyone who has volunteered in the past, and we look forward to involving you in our online programs as well.

Our Annual Holiday Giftwrap Fundraiser is coming soon!
Volunteers are needed to help cut, tape, and fold their way to building brighter futures for Orange County Youth in need. We will be at the Newburgh Mall from December 16-24 giftwraping packages to raise money for mentoring and youth development programs and we can use your able hands to help out!
If you or your business are interested in volunteering for giftwrapping shifts, please email Carolyn Bennett or phone at (845) 562-5900 x32. If you can't make it to volunteer, please stop by to have your holiday packages wrapped! |
New Staff Members!
If you haven't been to see us in a while, come by and you'll see some familiar faces as well as some new ones.
Maria Jimenez comes to us from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Pinelles County in Florida, and will be working with our Hispanic Mentoring Initiative. In addition to being bilingual, she brings years of experience to our organization so we can better serve our Hispanic population.
Alicia Bonadonna has previously worked at Mentoring Connections, an affiliate of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County Wisconsin. She recently joined our agency and will be working with mentors and mentees in Western Orange County, including the Port Jervis Area.
Carolyn Bennett is our new Director of Resource Development, and will be doing a lot of behind-the-scenes work to bring awareness of our organization to the Orange County Community. In addition to creating newsletters like the one you're currently reading, she is also overseeing Business Partnership Development to cultivate relationships with area corporations and organizations. |
