Commiseration
Commiseration: Remember this line: "Give us a glimpse of the lone white dove/winging on winter wind"? That was me, writing poetry, predicting in these two words, "white" and "winter" what we have just experienced here in the southern portions (of all places) of the Atlantic District. What a mess! No more poetry for me!
I thought April was supposed to be the cruelest month. My money's on January now. And February's coming in with another bucket of ice for backs aching from endless shoveling. Groundhog day? You won't be able to find your car for at least two more months if it got plowed in, much less some groundhog.

"Grace in the Pastor-Parish Dance"
Saturday, March 26, 2011
9:30am - 2:30pm

What does a healthy, God-honoring relationship between a pastor and congregation look like? The foundation of a contagiously joyful and effective congregational ministry is rooted in a good and grace-filled relationship between parish members and pastoral leaders, but how does that happen? In this seminar, Concordia Seminary's Dr. Bruce Hartung will lead participants through presentation, discussion, and group activities to discover where and how pastors and their "flocks" can grow in relationship to build a stronger, holistic, and more mission-driven community of faith!

LWR Has a New Look!
| |

From President and CEO John Nunes: "In conversations with many LWR supporters like you, we've heard that LWR looked a little "behind the times," and that a new look - one that could appeal to a wide variety of audiences - would help us spread our message and engage more people in our important work. We also think that the new logo will help us stand out more among other international relief and development organizations. We want to share LWR's ministry with more people like you, and this new look will help us do just that."
